KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip II, 359-336 BC. Half Stater (Gold, 13 mm, 4.27 g, 6 h), Pella, struck under Philip II or Alexander III, circa 340-328. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΦΙΛΙΠΠOY Forepart of a lion to right; below, trident right. Le Rider 43. SNG ANS 217 (same dies). Very rare. A clear and attractive example. Very fine.
